And......DONE! It's been a long road. Diagnosed in July with prostate cancer. Drove our coach to @mdandersoncancercenter in Houston, TX. Last treatment of SBRT was this morning! Woke up to this white stuff this morning.....in Houston Texas! A nice thick layer of ice covers everything. We are actually colder here in Houston than Rochester NY! They haven't seen cold weather like this in this area for over 80yrs! We are very thankful that @mdandersoncancercenter were proactive and cancelled all patient appointments for today and tomorrow back on Friday when they saw the weather coming. Tomorrow is supposed to be just as bad and cold. We're nice and toasty warm in our coach and have no where to be so I guess we'll be binge watching something today. Just enjoying some sun while David gets appointments done @mdandersoncancercenter. Even though we are here for cancer treatment, like everyone else, I really like the atmosphere here. The buildings are all very nicely designed. I feel like I'm in a posh hotel lobby rather than a hospital. And Loki and I love walking around the grounds. Being in a big city, they have lots of green space and pathways throughout. Benches to rest on, designated grasslands with signage about the foliage and animals around, fountains and sculptures. It seems like around every corner you're going to find something interesting and artsy. It makes coming here so much easier and nicer. Mom and dad said I needed my nails trimmed. Mom called it something like a mani pedi. So they got this nail grinding thingy out and dad put on his lights thingy on his head and they started grinding down my nails. They said it's important to do this because long nails hurt them when we cuddle and play but they can also hurt me when I walk. They said my nails weren't that bad but they just needed a little cleaning up. Supervising is hard. I know I say that a lot but I mean it a lot. Yesterday I had to supervise the Tesla repair guy working on my car. And yes.... it's my car. Mom and dad just think it's theirs. It just needed an adjustment on a seal but still it was hard watching him the whole time. Luckily it didn't take long and I was able to go out with mom to pick up dinner.
